English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the this year's Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

The three finalists have been recognised for their outstanding achievements over the last year.

Agyemang helped the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin rose to fame with a historic innings.

Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his sensational debut year.

The finalists were unveiled on a widely-listened-to radio show.

This year's winner will be revealed live on the prestigious sports ceremony show on December 18th.

The show will be aired from 19:00 GMT.

The Football Star

Only 90 days after her international debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.

She entered the fray to score crucial late equalisers in both the knockout stage games.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.

Subsequently, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the finest emerging star on the continent.

She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.

Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.

"Being nominated for this award is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."

The Darts Prodigy

Littler's 2025 began in spectacular fashion as - aged 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.

He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.

His success continued - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the first time.

At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, shattering the previous record.

"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a big honour," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a proud moment for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."

Perrin's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and burst into the spotlight with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.

Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.

It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.

Perrin came in second place in the season's run tally and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm incredibly grateful to be shortlisted for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it motivates more young females to get into cricket."
