Your Ideal Pocket Monster Legends: Z-A Super Form Based on Your Astrological Sign
The comeback of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited widespread excitement across the fandom. From the gradual reveal of fresh additions before the title's release, to players forming firm opinions on the full lineup of new Megas, there's a lot for fans to look forward to.
Given many of the Mega Evolutions boasting unique appearances that highlight their traits, one idea came to mind: How can link this with astrology? The following is inspired by a blend of intuition, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.
The Ram – Mega Camerupt
Honestly, Houndour's evolution was nearly chosen for Aries, as both are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the greatest apprehension. However, a Super Houndoom appears as constantly furious, which isn't typical of the Ram's energy, renowned for being fun, light-hearted, and spontaneous. That's why the Ram far more similar to Mega Camerupt, which only spews lava when provoked. Remain on the friendly side of either and enjoy a strong partner; if you cross them, prepare to get burned.
Taurus – Mega Heracross
Much like a loyal Taurus, the reliable Heracross, whether in its standard and Mega form, has assisted many trainers in Legends: Z-A. Though trustworthy, both the creature and a Bull are also battle-oriented, and – be it their companion or a strong opinion – will defend their side to the end. The thing about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Bull-sign companions, though, is its unashamed love of snacks. Several previous Pokédex entries mention their craving for sweet sap and how it uses its appendage to collect it everything, which is pure Taurus energy.
Gemini – Mega Medicham
Observe this absolute queen. It's impossible to convince me this creature is not the soul of every party, providing an endless stream of gossip to anyone who wants to hear. Much like an enrapturing, sociable Twins, it's very easy to envision Mega Medicham mesmerizing an whole open area with their tales. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also mentions its ability to foresee an enemy’s next moves, which sounds very like a socially-savvy Twins.
The Crab – Super Manectric
Cancer is commonly considered as the most emotional sign of the astrological wheel, a intense symbol famous for often becoming absorbed in their feelings. Per the official info, Mega Evolution charges the Pokémon with a “huge quantity of energy, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to completely manage,” which sounds a lot like a classic Cancer crash-out. This Pokémon is also recognized for its ability to make a storm cloud over its very self – and if there’s a single trait a Cancer is going to do, it’s rain on their good time.
Leo – Mega Starmie
Well, did you assume I was planning to pick the lion Pokémon for the lion of the stars? Aside from the reality that it would be far too on the nose, Leo is clearly Mega Starmie, the star whose legs just went viral for being too fabulous (or terrifying, depending on your taste). Fans were captivated from the violet sea star, and that’s precisely the same energy a Leo offers to the table. Starmie is also rumored to be transmitting radio waves from its red core out into space, and it’s just like a Leo to be putting on a show, even if for extraterrestrials.
Virgo – Mega Victreebel
The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Virgo is ideally represented in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual digestive issues. The zodiac symbol known for being endearingly judgmental is clearly reflected throughout this creature's entire evolutionary chain, from a always surprised face like a Maiden when you inform them you lack a 401(k), to its upside-down visage that’s similar to the symbol a Virgo sends to the group chat when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of creating a plan.
The Scales – Mega Audino
Observe this sweet, sensitive being, who uses the sensors on its ears to tell how people are emotionally by their pulse. Consistently compassionate – sometimes to a fault – and striving to keep the peace, there are many Libras who would probably benefit from Mega Audino’s skills. Though, let’s be honest, it would probably just make them stress even more about everyone else.
The Scorpion – Mega Banette
Banette is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly sad origin: Abandoned as a toy, it gained consciousness through sheer resentment and vowed revenge on its former owner. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That seems precisely like several discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpio friends. A Scorpio loves karma and retribution, making them the perfect pair with Super Banette.
The Archer – Mega Hawlucha
Each Super Hawlucha and Archers are constantly staging a performance. As a Sagittarius personally, the amount of times I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “silly little jester” is innumerable. The showiest and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “poses to show off its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Archer counterpart I can imagine.
Capricorn – Mega Absol
Were you aware that a Super Absol has the power to predict calamities in advance? That exudes the exact same vibe as a Goat, who tends to always think they’re right. Interestingly, much like a prophetic Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the very first Mega Evolution that players encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to join the beginning of the Super Form craze.
The Water Bearer – Mega Chandelure
Aloof air sign Aquarius is arguably the non-flame placement that is most like a fire sign – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are numerous memes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being chaotic accomplices. Super Chandelure's dual Spirit/Flame category fits seamlessly with this, and the Super Form's general daunting aura is also extremely Aquarius. If you weren’t already convinced, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “absorbs hatred and transforms it into strength.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
